The Company

Our Client is the world’s leading web analytics business, providing clients, with accurate, real time information on business users visiting their web sites, whether those users have formally enquired about their product or service. The strength of their product has driven exceptional sales growth within the business and they are now actively seeking Key Account Managers to ensure their clients receive outstanding after-sales support, enabling them to maximise their Return on Investment from their software.

The Role

You will be responsible for the proactive management of a portfolio of c250 client accounts.  This will involve the navigation and management of your client’s contract renewal process, provision of new-user training and set-up of client reporting requirements. You will remain in regular contact with all of your clients to ensure optimal portal performance and provide assistance throughout the contract life-time. You will also be responsible for maintaining and developing relationships and identifying new sales opportunities to further promote the services of the business

As part of this role, you will be required to carry out on-line product demonstrations using a market-leading web analytics tool so candidates must be IT literate and have the ability to navigate around multiple screens.  A knowledge of Word, Excel and Powerpoint is essential.

Your day will be varied with three to four hours spent talking to clients, nurturing their accounts and identifying and and developing new business opportunities and providing technical support and assistance. You will also be responsible for effective database management and contract administration as required as part of your day to day duties.

This position will give you an opportunity to show your business acumen and account management expertise. You will have first-class communication skills, an eye for detail and the tenacity to drive the process forward.

Successful candidates come from a wide range of backgrounds and include but are not limited to the following:-

  • You may be from a retail background and had previous success managing multiple stores with direct responsibility for staff management and P & L accountability.  
  • You may have had experience of dealing with high-net worth individuals so understand the value of the client and the service element that is required in doing so.  
  • You may have worked in a position whereby the majority of your day is spent on the telephone, requiring persistence and drive.  
  • You may be an Account Manager having a great understanding of what is required with continuous contract strategies, client negotiation and upselling.  
  • You may come from an Estate Agency/Property letting background where competition is very high and the need to be pro-active is key.  
  • You may well have lived and worked abroad and are therefore adaptable and acceptable to change and new environments.

The role is considered to be similar to that of a ‘business coach’ as you will spend a lot of time supporting your clients and showing a genuine interest in assisting them to achieve the best from their product.  You will also be identifying solutions to clients needs and offering potential solutions.
